Welcome to our 5th Annual Safety Day and our 2nd Fly-In Safety Stand Down Day.  This event is open to the aviation community as well as aviation enthusiast.

Do you wonder what the FAA “GO TEAM” does when an accident or incident happens?  Ever wonder what the local FAA Safety Team or even the airport/local Fire department does to help in the investigation?

For our annual safety day, we have invited some one from each of those offices to give us some insight on what they do when a tragic situation occurs.

Our guest speaker is Mr. Floyd A. "Tony" James, former Federal Aviation Authority Senior Investigator In Charge (IIC).

Mr. James will share some information about John F. Kennedy, his wife Carolyn Bessette and his Sister-In-Law airplane crash on 16 July 1999 off Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts as he was the (IIC) for the FAA.

NTSB Identification: NYC99MA178
Date:16 July 1999
Location: Vinyard Haven, MA
Aircraft:Piper PA-32R-301 (Saratoga), registration: N9253N

Please join us at Landmark Aviation - Tampa International Airport on Saturday September 19 at 0900 to hear our guest speakers.  You will need to register for this event as seats are limited to the first 100 people who sign up.  This is a FREE event and lunch is included.

This event is being presented by Tampa Bay Aviation Association, with the assistant of the Tampa International Airport Authority, St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport and Landmark Aviation (KTPA).

Lunch: Sandwiches by Columbia Restaurant.
