Mid-Air Collision Avoidance (MACA) program provides information and situational awareness to all pilots in the Tampa Bay Area. Due to the saturated flying activity in the area, all flyers, whether military or civilian, must remain aware of the potential for mid-air collisions. Through education, awareness, and application of the “See and Avoid” concept, we can all share the skies of Tampa Bay more safely. In addition, the MACA Briefing will go into the specifics of MacDill’s Class D Airspace, Traffic Pattern Operations, IFR Procedures, and a discussion on the wide range of aircraft that may be flying to or around MacDill.
There will be ATC members from MacDill Tower to discuss specifics of their airspace and coordinate with the TPA TRACON controllers
